Eight New Flights for 2026: Vallarta's Airport Adds Vegas, Edmonton, Calgary and More

Puerto Vallarta's Gustavo Diaz Ordaz International Airport is adding eight new routes during 2026, bringing it to 54 connections served by 17 airlines. On the domestic side, Volaris is opening service to three Mexican cities: Puebla and Aguascalientes (each three times a week) and San Luis Potosi (four times a week), all beginning around June 2026. International travelers gain new options too. Southwest launches Las Vegas service in early June (twice weekly); Porter Airlines begins flights to Edmonton in November (three times weekly); and Air Canada adds Calgary in December (three times weekly). Airport administrator Omar Gildardo Torres Grajeda said two more international routes are expected to be announced soon. (Exact start dates and frequencies can shift, so confirm directly with the airline before booking.) For residents, more direct routes mean easier — and often cheaper — trips back to home cities, and more visitors arriving each season.
